Qualifications
This position requires knowledge of engineering practices and principles as evidenced by degrees and work experience. An active PE license or current EIT certification is desirable, but not required. Demonstrated experience with the electric utility distribution infrastructure, distributed energy resources, grid automation, and smart grids as well as familiarity with regulatory practices and policies is desired.
Proven project management expertise and experience. Ability to review design plans and drawings for electric distribution facilities, to ensure compliance with engineering practices, local, state, and federal requirements, as well as industry standards and electric safety codes.

The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (Commission), a leading utility regulatory agency, is looking for a talented senior electrical engineer who can make a professional difference in the Nation’s Capital.
As a senior engineering professional, you will be deployed on a challenging variety of regulatory oversight projects, including ongoing monitoring efforts for multi-billion dollar long-term electric utility infrastructure upgrade projects, electric distribution strategic initiatives, as well as distributed energy resource technologies, including energy storage and microgrids.
